Primary ICT is a small company providing cost-effective alternatives to the ICT training normally available in the private sector. We provide a small range of on-site training and online courses. The latter provide low cost solutions for schools with a tight budget and with heavy time constraints on their staff.
Reduced cost does not mean reduced quality, a claim which should be substantiated when you view our products. You might start by examining our sample course materials by visiting our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) before you decide to subscribe.
We are a small team of practicing teachers currently delivering PGCE, Education & ICT, and Early Childhood Studies degrees for University College Birmingham. Together we have a wealth of technical and pedagogical skills and experience which serve to provide you with a high quality product at a price which is impossible to find in the commercial sector.
Grace Jenkins, MEd, BA(Hons), is a senior lecturer in children's education, specialising in ICT. An experienced former primary school teacher and ICT Coordinator, Grace has been teaching on Birmingham University degree programmes for over 4 years and plays a pivotal role in the planning and delivery of the PGCE (Early Years). She oversees the pedagogical aspects of our courses.
David Hall, MEd, BSc (Hons), PGCE, DipIT, is a senior lecturer in Education & ICT. A former IT trainer and course design specialist, David became involved with children's ICT in 1998. He oversees the 'technical' aspects of our courses and is the author of 'The Role of ICT in Children's Learning', a book due to be published in February 2009.
Primary ICT continues to update and develop its products, largely through consultation with the primary sector. Please feel free to feedback your comments on any issue (however large or small), at any time. Your views are greatly appreciated and essential to the process.
