Synopsis:
This course discusses how ICT can be used in a mainstream setting to enhance teaching and learning for those with special educational needs.  A range of ICT resources (perhaps those you already own) will be explored including two key SEN software titles, Clicker and Writing With Symbols.  You will also discover how everyday software can be used to help learners with special educational needs, or those who work at a lower level, reach their full potential. 

Who is this course for:
If you work in a mainstream setting and teach one or more learners who have special educational needs then this course will help you to establish an inclusive learning environment.

Objectives:
To understand how ICT can be used to enhance teaching and learning for those who have special
  educational needs..  
To identify and employ a range of ICT resources to establish an inclusive environment.
To create a personalised ICT resource to support a learner, or group of learners in your class or school.

Duration:
Full day  1000 - 1630 (refreshments from 0930).
