Synopsis:
Making the best use of ICT in your establishment requires effective management of ICT resources including: hardware, networks, curriculum software, administration software, staff development, technical support, policies, and funding.
We'll help you to examine your current ICT position and provide advice on the way to improve it. This will be particularly useful prior to, or as a follow up after, OFSTED inspections. It will also help you to complete the Becta Self Review Framework for ICT and attain the 'ICT Mark'.

If you are a senior manager, ICT Coordinator or hold responsibility for any aspect of the management of ICT then this course would suit you.
Objectives:
▪To determine how to assess your current ICT position in terms of: Leadership & Management, Curriculum,
Learning & Teaching, Assessment,Professional Development,Extending Opportunities for Learning, Resources, and Impact on Pupil Outcomes.
▪To compile a medium and long term ICT development plan to effect the necessary changes, within budget.
▪To outline the typical duties of the ICT Coordinator and ICT management team.
▪To investigate sources of funding for ICT.
